‘We, three priests, in Warrington are…’
Welcome back to Fr Konrad Loewenstein, FSSP, who will be assigned in Warrington from Lent onwards with Fr de Malleray and Fr Verrier. This makes 7 priests from our Fraternity serving full time in Great Britain: 3 here, 3 in Reading and 1 in Edinburgh.
Welcome to Fr Alex Stewart, FSSP, who was ordained at St Mary’s last June and is visiting while on vacation. Fr Stewart just spent his first semester as a priest, assigned in our parish in Minneapolis, USA.
Young adults: 12 of them attended our monthly meeting yesterday. Some travelled from as far as Wolverhampton and Lincolnshire. They say this is a very opportunity for them to meet among peers who are not ashamed of being Catholic.
The next meetings will take place on 10 Feb, 17 March, 21 April, 12 May, 16 June and 14 July.

Come along to the Chartres Pilgrimage next Pentecost. Cardinal Robert Sarah (picture), Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship in Rome, will offer a pontifical high Mass in the Extraordinary Form, attended by 15,000. It is likely to be the largest event of its kind in decades. Abundant graces are received by the pilgrims during the 70-mile walk from Notre-Dame in Paris to Notre-Dame in Chartres. Join the dozens of British pilgrims, with Fr de Malleray. Departure: Friday 18 May – return Tuesday 22 May. In particular, we invite all young professionals and young adults to join the Juventutem Chapter. Pilgrims over 35 are very welcome to join the various English chapters. Visit chartresuk.blogspot.co.uk and www.nd-chretiente.com/index-eng.php .

Thank you for your dedication and support to the liturgical and devotional life at St Mary’s Shrine, in particular those involved with singing; cleaning; flower arranging; welcoming visitors and handing hymnbooks and bulletins; collection baskets and counting; maintenance; sacristy supply; bell ringing; rosary and devotions.
Could you assist with any of those tasks in 2018? This is a very good way to serve God and neighbours, giving of our time for the worthiest of cause, and with immediate results. Contact us to know more.
New Repository! At long last, we now have a proper space for Mass cards, good books, rosary beads etc.
Volunteers wanted to man it after Mass. Thank you.
Holy Communion Reminder:
To receive Holy Communion, one must be 1) a Roman Catholic 2) in state of grace (no grave sin unabsolved on one’s conscience) and 3) have fasted for at least one hour.
In the traditional Latin rite used at St Mary’s, Holy Communion is received kneeling (if one can), and in any case on the tongue: thank you very much in advance.
Please hold Communion plate against your throat if no server is available.
Please use the entire width of the Communion rail, from one wall of the church all the way to the opposite wall, avoiding any gaps. This will make distribution quicker. Thank you.
Watch Holy Mass at St Mary’s daily on www.livemass.org. The Mass of the day can be watched for 24hrs and that of the Sunday for the entire week.
☞ Did you know? St Mary’s Shrine costs £1,444 a week to run and maintain. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
