Please note: this year, Catholics must attend Holy Mass on TWO consecutive days: 1) the Mass of Sunday 24 (possibly anticipated on Saturday 23 evening if in the Ordinary form); and 2) the Mass of the Nativity on Monday 25 or anticipated the night before.
The obligation is not fulfilled when attending Holy Mass on one of the two days only.
We welcome Very Rev Fr John Berg, FSSP, Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter, our Celebrant at the 11am Solemn High Mass on Sunday 10 Dec. Fr Berg will attend the concert of sacred music on Sat. 16 Dec, 6pm: Benjamin Britten’s St Nicolas and carols for Christmas by the Warrington Choral Society.
Congratulations to Allan Walker, who will be received into the Catholic Church on Sunday 17 December at St Mary’s. We assure him of our prayer and welcome him as our fellow-Catholic. He is the third adult becoming a Catholic at St Mary’s in the past two years, after Michael Meadows and Colin Holce. We admire their perseverance and courage, and we pray for many more to be inspired by their example. Anyone willing to discuss the possibility of becoming a Catholic is welcome to contact Fr de Malleray, regardless of their level of motivation and of how far they may currently be from the Catholic Church. There is room for everyone.

Holy Communion Reminder:
To receive Holy Communion, one must be 1) a Roman Catholic 2) in state of grace (no grave sin unabsolved on one’s conscience) and 3) have fasted for at least one hour.
In the traditional Latin rite used at St Mary’s, Holy Communion is received kneeling (if one can), and in any case on the tongue: thank you very much in advance.
Please use the entire width of the Communion rail, from one wall of the church all the way to the opposite wall, avoiding any gaps. This will make distribution quicker. Thank you.
☞ Did you know? St Mary’s Shrine costs £1,444 a week to run and maintain. Please give generously!
Watch Holy Mass at St Mary’s daily on www.livemass.org. The Mass of the day can be watched for 24hrs and that of the Sunday for the entire week.
