To honour the Blessed Virgin Mary of Fatima, the Pontfical Commission Ecclesia Dei issued a decree giving permission for votive Masses to offered to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on this Saturday 13 May 2017--which is the 100 year anniversary of our Lady appearing to the three little shepherds at Fatima. Accordingly Holy Mass at St Mary's Shrine this Saturday will be to the Immaculate Heart.
With deep joy we await the canonisations this Saturday of Bl Francisco + Bl Jacinta Marto. Along with St Lucia they made beautiful penances for salvation of souls and for the Holy Father. With Jesus Christ and with the Virgin of Fatima, the three children warn of the unending pains of hell. This is proof that with God and the Immaculate, little children can see reality, while impurity and worldly distractions obscure it. It is a good measure of the health of one's spiritual life to ask how seriously one takes hell. To find hell terrifying is perfectly sensible. To seek to love God and neighbour is the perfect response to this fear. But to deny hell's existence is a tragic error. We can hardly avoid hell if we refuse to believe the warnings of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, the Church and the Saints--including the little shepherds--that hell is real. To refuse to believe in hell is ultimately equivalent to thinking that it does not matter if one rejects God, disobeys Him, blasphemes Him, murders Him.
Because God is Absolute Love, to be without Him, to refuse Him, is unending pain. Please don't go to hell!
